Privacy Policy
QuizFu collects nothing about you unless you ask it to. There is no advertising, no analytics and no cookies, and progress stays in your own browser — unless you ask for a four-word code, which saves your scores so you can bring them to another device. That is the only thing QuizFu ever stores, and you can delete it whenever you like.

What we collect
Nothing about you. QuizFu has no sign-up, no login, no contact form and no payment. We never ask for a name, an email address, an age or a location, and there is nowhere on the site to enter personal information.
If you ask for a four-word code, we store the scores that code stands for. That is described in full below.
Your progress is stored on your own device
QuizFu remembers which states and countries you have practised, and how many stars you have earned, so you can pick up where you left off. That record is written to your browser's local storage on your own device. It contains only region names, item codes, and scores — nothing that identifies a person.
You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site. Using a private or incognito window means it is discarded when you close the window.
Four-word codes
Browsers lose their storage. Phones get replaced, and Safari clears data for sites you have not visited in a week or so. A four-word code — something like artist grape rare hungry — is how you get your progress back when that happens. You only have one if you asked for it, and the game plays exactly the same without one.
What is stored against a code: the scores themselves — which states and countries you have practised, how many stars each region has, and which guided tours you have finished — plus the date the code was made and the date it was last used. That is everything.
What is not stored: no name, no email address, no age, no location, no device or browser details, and we do not record your IP address alongside your code. The words are picked at random by our server. They are not made from anything about you, and they cannot be chosen.
Please treat the words like a library card, not a password. Anyone who has them can see the scores they stand for and can add to them. Saving itself never takes anything away — it only fills gaps in — so an old phone or a stranger cannot make your scores smaller by playing. The one exception is the button on each region that clears that region's stars so they can be earned again: someone holding your words could use it too. That is the main reason to keep them to yourself, and there is a button in the site that copies a clean link with no code in it when you want to share QuizFu with a friend.
Deleting it. Open “Move progress to another device” at the bottom of any page and choose to forget your words. The record is deleted from our database straight away, and from our backups within 35 days. A code that has not been used for 18 months is deleted automatically, and its words go back into circulation.
Where it is kept. The database lives on the server that runs quizfu.com. Backups are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, so that a failed disk does not lose children's progress; they are sent over an encrypted connection and expire on the schedule above. Cloudflare holds them on our behalf and does nothing else with them.
Cookies and tracking
QuizFu sets no cookies at all. It contains no analytics, no advertising tags, no tracking pixels, no social media widgets, and no third-party embeds of any kind. Every file your browser loads — including its font and its maps — comes from quizfu.com itself, so no other company learns that you visited. Saving and restoring a four-word code talks only to quizfu.com, and sets no cookie either.
Server logs
Like any website, QuizFu is delivered by a web host, and that host keeps standard, short-lived technical logs of requests — typically an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested, and a browser identifier. These are used only to operate the site securely (for example, to identify abuse or diagnose an outage). They are not used to build a profile, not combined with anything else, and not sold or shared for marketing. They are not linked to four-word codes.
Children's privacy
QuizFu is intended to be used by children, and it is built so that there is as little to worry about as possible. It asks for no personal information from anyone, of any age. A four-word code holds quiz scores and nothing else: it carries no name, no contact details and nothing that identifies the child who made it.
A code is never used to advertise to anyone, to build a profile, or to follow anyone around the internet. It exists for one purpose — handing a child back their own scores — and it is optional, so a family that would rather store nothing at all simply never asks for one.
Parents: you can see everything held under your child's code in the same panel that created it, and delete it there in one click. If you would rather ask us, write to contact@quizfu.com with the four words and we will delete it.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to see, correct and delete data a service holds about you. Without a four-word code, QuizFu holds nothing at all — the only record is the one in your own browser, which is yours to clear whenever you like.
With a code, everything held under it is shown to you in the site itself, and the same panel deletes it. There is nothing we can show you that the site cannot, because scores are all there is. If you would prefer to ask a person, use the address below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
